Patty Tobin wraps up her first circuit of Trunk Shows at Bloomingdale’s in New York and New Jersey this month. The jewelry designer will announce her next series of showcase events for the fall in the coming months, so stay tuned!
It’s hard to believe that it’s already July, and that we’ve officially wrapped up our first full series of Patty Tobin Trunk Show events at Bloomingdale’s! But here we are with 27 exciting days of showcase events under our belt (with more to come this Fall!) After 12 weeks of shows at four different Bloomingdale’s locations including New York City, White Plains, and Hackensack and Short Hills, New Jersey, Patty Tobin and I sat down to take stock of our biggest “show-stoppers” and customer favorites, and to put together our first TOP 10 BESTSELLERS LIST!
Patty Tobin and her colorful collection of fine fashion jewelry has been a hit at each of our Trunk Show events at Bloomingdale’s in White Plains. We can’t wait to return for more events this fall!
For those of you who are familiar with our “Fine Fashion” jewelry line, you already know that Patty creates a lot of “one-a-kind” and “few-of-a-kind” pieces in addition to her classic Patty Tobin signature styles, or our “standard bearers,” as she would call them. (For those of you who are checking us out for the first time, many of Patty’s designs are just that: “One-of” or “few-of” a kind pieces (a.k.a. limited edition items) and when they go, they’re gone; some will be replicated, but very seldom duplicated.)
The collection we brought with us to these shows, which kicked off back in March in New York City at Bloomingdale’s highly anticipated and widely promoted “HOT” event, represented a “Perfectly Patty” combination of said “One-ofs” and the designer’s “signature styles”. So, when we sat down to put together our TOP 10 list, we were faced with a bit of a challenge. We wanted to include not only the pieces that had sold the most in number, and were therefore obvious customer favorites, but also the real “show-stoppers” that may only have sold once due to the fact that they were, in fact, “one-of-a-kind” pieces. In the end, this is what we resolved to feature as our TOP 10 “RAVES & FAVES” AT BLOOMINGDALE’S:

#1) NEW Shell Pearl Lariats
Patty Tobin’s newest addition to the designer’s collection was a huge hit at every single Bloomingdale’s show! Tobin’s new Shell Pearl Lariat ($395) comes in a variety of colors, including the Butter Yellow (left) and Tahitian Black (right) shown above, plus White, Pink, Platinum and more. Clasps are adjustable, allowing you to fit to just about any neckline, and come in yellow or white 18K vermeil.
#2) 16MM Shell Pearls
There’s a reason we often refer to our Shell Pearls as “the little black” dress of the line, and their popularity at our Bloomingdale’s Trunk Shows just goes to show how true that is. At $295, this lovely 18″ shell pearl necklace comes in a variety of colors and suits ages 18 to 80. It is such an easy wear that you’ll find the hardest part is not deciding whether or not to get it, but which of these fabulous color combinations to get it in!
#3) Ladies loved the LAB!
Bloomingdale’s shoppers and staff alike, simply loved our labradorite pieces! Both the briolette torsade (above left, $995) and the baby briolette and rondelle hand-wrapped 18K vermeil chains (above right, $395 each) were huge showstoppers! And good examples of our “one-of” and “few-of-a-kind” pieces — “often replicated, but never duplicated.” Cheers to the ladies that took home these stunning pieces!!
#4) Bali gets ’em every time
Simple, understated and elegant, our Bali Sterling and Freshwater Pearl necklace, earring and bracelet set have long been one of our most popular items and Bloomingdale’s was no different. Although many are drawn to our bigger, brighter, more “statement” pieces at first, our Bali set seems to win out every time. The 18″ necklace ($295) makes for a lovely everyday wear that can easily be dressed up for formal occasions. The earring ($135) and bracelet ($195) make for a great addition to just about any woman’s jewelry collection as they are both easy to throw on and go everyday or pair with more pieces for a fuller statement look. Our long 36″ rope ($495) with its versatility going from a long necklace to a short doubled-up one makes it an easy stand alone piece or a great one for layering. We couldn’t keep these items in stock at the shows; every time we got more in, they flew right out again!
#5) + #6) + #7) Crazy for QUARTZ!!
“Crazy for Quartz” is right! There’s no better way to say it then that! Bloomingdale’s customers were loving all of the above (from left to right): Aqua Quartz large briolette necklace ($350), Clear Quartz 14MM necklace ($295), and our “mega” quartz statement piece: Aqua Quartz Briolette Torsade ($895).
#9) Fire Agate Ropes fly right out!
Our colorful Fire Agate Ropes ($450) were a huge hit at these shows!! Their unusual color and texture was so attention getting that they were among the first to sell right out in every color. It’s hard to say which were most popular, but if I had to pick a Top 3, I’d have to say the Orange & White (above left), the Blue & Yellow (above left) and the Black & Teal (not shown).
#10) Freshwater Pearl & Gemstone Lariats
Our Freshwater Pearl Lariats with their gemstone and Swarovski crystal detail are truly unique pieces that you simply won’t find anywhere else. As versatile as they are lovely, these colorful necklaces can be worn a number of different ways and come in a variety of colors, including pale pink/rose quartz (shown above, left), bronze/citrine, purple/amethyst, white/clear quartz, and many others.
