Who’s Wearing Patty Tobin
With the official first day of spring coming up, our turquoise and south sea pearl ropes are just the ticket to get you ready in style. Date night/day to night? Whatever the occasion, this rope exudes an effortlessly chic look that any fashionista will appreciate. At 60″, what we love most about this rope is its versatility. It can be worn as a single strand, doubled or even tripled, creating the fullest look (as seen below, with matching turquoise earrings, on Dr. Jen Hartstein, CBS Early Show.) So, what are you waiting for? This rope is a necessity for your spring collection.

Vice President of Corporate Communications for Tanger Outlets, Mona Walsh, seen above [right] interviews with WHHI-TV wearing a beautiful three-strand large white baroque pearl necklace with a carved coral clasp with sterling silver by Patty Tobin.
Residents of Beaufort County, South Carolina, are eagerly awaiting the grand green re-opening of Tanger Outlets Center 1 shopping center, which is slated for March 31. The new center will replace one opened by other developers in 1987 and bought by Tanger in 2003 and will be the state’s first shopping center to be certified by Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design standards (LEEDs). The original center was poorly built and could not accommodate many tenants’ request for large spaces, Tanger officials said, but the new center fixes all of that and more. Developers proudly announced the addition of several new retailers, including Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH, Adidas, Bare Escentuals, Brooks Brothers, DKNY Donna Karan New York, Hugo Boss, J.Crew, and many more. “Our brands are aspirational,” said Mona Walsh, Tanger assistant vice president for corporate communications. “What we’re offering is value.” Check out WHHI-TV’s video interview with Mona Walsh to learn more about the economic and environmental benefits of the much anticipated new shopping center. Patty Tobin joined co-organizers, Sheri Best and Lisa Ricciardi, and First Lady of New York State Michelle Paige Patterson, last week at the Women in Construction & Real Estate Networking Event held at the Haworth building in New York City. The purpose of the night: to celebrate and empower women pursuing careers in nontraditional employment fields such as construction, real estate, transportation, facilities maintenance, green and energy industries. These women are an important part of this dynamic effort to help women lead and succeed in this challenging economy.
As a woman who worked for more than a decade leading her own private contracting firm before turning to pursue her passion for jewelry design, Tobin was asked to say a few words about her experience running her own construction company in such a male-dominated industry. Tobin spent the night speaking to guests about the critical importance of creating better business opportunities for women. To help boost proceeds for the event, Tobin also donated a lovely bronze shell pearl necklace, which will go to benefit NEW: Nontraditional Employment for Women. You can check it out along with other pictures from the night here!

Here to pickup their prizes from last week’s private trunk show raffle and pose with designer Patty Tobin, these four lucky ladies sport their newest Patty Tobin pieces. The winning women of the night include: CBS reporter, Karina Mahtani-Mitchell (top left), Karen Heidelberger-Retzler (bottom left), Director of Programming for NYC Media, Diane Petzke (top right), and Commissioner of Film, Theatre, and Broadcasting for NYC, Katherine Oliver (top right).
Wednesday night’s trunk show at our Patty Tobin flagship boutique in Chelsea was a hit! New York City’s fashion and media elite turned out and piled in the store to get a first-hand look at Patty’s latest and greatest gemstone and pearl creations. Guests included Fox News Correspondent, Courtney Friel, celebrity blogger, Jill Dobson, InTouch Weekly’s Amy Palmer, NYC’s Commissioner of Film, Theatre & Broadcasting, Katherine Oliver, fashion designer, Joanna Mastroianni, and many, many more.
With the help of celebrity style expert, Felix Mercado, Patty Tobin and her staff guided guests through the designer’s new line of gemstone pendants, pearl ropes, and her oh-so coveted Tiger Eye collection. Finding the styles that fit each lady’s taste was the easy part; deciding which pieces to take home was considerably more difficult. Luckily, there were plenty of desirable fashions to select from, and no guest went home empty-handed.
